I had a radical nephourectomy 5 weeks ago. I was told yesterday the tumour was of a high grade stage pt2. I ve to start chemo for cancer of the ureter next week at the Beatson Glasgow. I know this group is for kidney cancer but it’s the nearest I could find. Feeling very scared just now.

  • Hi and welcome to the Online Community. I'm sorry to read your tumour has necessitated the need for Chemotherapy which you're starting next week. I have a different type of cancer to you but all of us here on these forums understand your fear and what you're going through right now. We've all been there so you are not alone on this journey.

You've joined a supportive group and other members will be along soon to chat and reassure you. Read over older threads and just click on reply to any you want to chat to. There's no etiquette here, you don't have to be invited, we're all here for each other.

I hope your chemo goes well next week. I've attached a link to some reading material from Macmillan regarding Chemotherapy which I hope you'll find helpful.
