I've had a PET scan ,after an MRI scan showing liver problems.Just over 2 weeks after the scan an appt ,in 3 months time,no info on the results.
To have to wait so long to find out the result,I searched access to your records, the records manager at your local health trust .
Requested a copy of 4 scans in last 9 weeks, simple process, and got a copy of the reports all sent by email the next day .
I can now show them to gp,as they have no access to them,as well as finding out the result myself.
If you are still awaiting, worried,You are entitled to see the reports yourself, not just a team meetings view of them, they are free and in cases better than awaiting someone else telling you.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
