Hi Linzilou,
Welcome to the community I myself had cancer in both my kidneys they did say at the time it is most usual, my left kidney was totally gone and my right kidney it was in the bottom half, I had my left kidney removed and my spleen as it was stuck to it and after they were going to remove the bottom half of my right kidney, I went in on the Monday of the 31st December 2019 that morning I had my operation, and on the Friday I was home unfortunately Covid hit and everything went hay wire, when I next went to hospital they said that it had spread to my lungs and they couldn’t do anymore for me he said we were talking months so to go home and sort my affairs out, he did mention that there were kti’s I could try and sent me to Brighton which I did, but the oncologist who was going to see me was off with Covid so one of his colleagues was talking to him on the phone and she actually started me on my first immunotherapy, so try not to worry keep positive I am sure they will come up with a treatment for you Sandy
hi thank you so much for your replies, I’m afraid I didn’t complete my initial message properly, it’s my husband he has it in both kidneys they are too large to operate on and it has spread to his lungs. He is 77 and also has problems with his heart, they tried to do a biopsy twice but his blood won’t clot however he is having vitamin k intravenously tomorrow and hopefully a biopsy Wednesday, he then should be transferred to Christie’s but the consultant at the hospital wasn’t very hopeful they can help him, it’s so unreal I can’t believe it.but thank you for your replies I wasn’t very clear
Hi Sandy thank you so much for your message, I’m hoping my husband will be able to have immunotherapy as I’ve read when you are older chemo isn’t that successful but then again it was the hospital of Google so it may be wrong, I wish you all the best on your journey we are just stepping on the road it’s scary isn’t it?
