Hello Everyone,
My wife Val is undergoing Immunotherapy, now on Ipi only. She has developed several patches of rough browny/red skin on her back. Has anyone had experience of this? She mentioned it at her last two treatment appointments, but was advised not to worry.
Best Wishes, Ron
My skin flared up during chemotherapy and I was given 50/50 cream to use and it worked really well especially with the inching. You might be able to ask the Dr for some.
My consultants also advised if itching became a problem they would give a cream to help relieve. When I reported "some" itching (nothing serious, just occasionally annoying) antihistamine tabs suggested. Any moisturising hand/body cream should help, the less perfumed the better.
Hi Ronald,
So sorry to hear about Val, I have only had very dry flaky skin the chemo team have given me cream for it and my doctor gives me E45 on prescription, I hope Val gets help with the blotchy skin, sorry I have not heard from you before I would like to say welcome to the group and if there are any other questions do not hesitate to ask us, we are a very informative group and I am sure there will be someone who will have had the same and be able to give advice to you, also don’t forget you can always ask the Macmillan professionals they are only a phone call away.
Regards Sandy
