Hi all I have a low grade tumour and will have a partial nephrectomy in November time hopefully waiting for confirmation as on specialist waiting list now and he suggested possibly November time. I have pain in both sides although tumour in one kidney and cysts on another and I suggested to him that I was worried he had all the scan results in front of him on computer and he basically told me I should not have pain on my right and it's just back pain although I'm skeptical about this as I know my body and it feels similar to the pain on left does anybody else have this symptom. I also have other health conditions that make me tired but I'm sleeping everyday during parts of the day as well as at night. Does anybody with low grade tumour feel fatigue as I'm trying to work out if it's my other issues causing this as I'm hoping after my operation eventually I might have a improvement in feeling this way.
Hello Zante. I have a tumour on the left (18cms shrunk to 12cms with treatment a few weeks ago but who knows now!). I have had no pain that I have noticed at all! Only diagnosed after it invaded lungs etc. So I am sorry not to help with the pain issue other than to say I would keep asking. Your next scan should show. Do you have a renal consultant to ask? As k your GP if there is anything else that can be followed up? I am sure it is a worry and I am sorry to hear your news. Goid luck and take care. Chillamum
Chillamum thank you. I'm glad your tumour has shrunk that can only be good news and very encouraging signs. Thanks for the advice.
Hi again. Just thought to say, I had concerns about lower back pain and was referred for a bone scan. Fortunately there were no further tumours found (I have one in my skull and a tiny one in the pelvis) but it showed up signs of rheumatism so I was referred for that. With everything else going on I'd forgotten! Please do keep asking and it helps to keep a diary. Best wishes!
Divine Ms M
