I had my left kidney and adrenal gland removed 3 years ago and until quite recently haven’t felt too bad with reasonable energy levels, but a fair few chest infections, including a bout of pneumonia a year ago. I a asthmatic and so oral steroids have been prescribed on a regular basis. I have Mets in my left lung and lower left abdomen.
at the moment I have been diagnosed with a particularly nasty chest infection which I am finding quite debilitating and have been advised to come off Cabo for a while. Apparently my immune system has been weakened by the steroids I’ve been prescribed, so I’m gradually being weaned off them. I’ve been prescribed some more antibiotics which it is hoped will knock the infection out of my system.
has anybody else been affected by persistent chest infections.?
Hello again
Ive now been told I have fluid in my abdomen which explains some of my breathing problems and lack of appetite, bloatedness and generally feeling very tired. I am due a drainage procedure in a days time, which my oncologist feels should make me feel a lot better and more comfortable. He will then formulate a new treatment plan for me.
it’s pleasing to know the reason for all this which has been building slowly and hopefully getting things fixed. Up to a couple weeks ago although tired I was able to pursue a reasonably active lifestyle, but for the moment I just don’t have the energy.
I’ll let you know how it goes but it would be great to know if anyone else has had this drainage procedure.
best wishes
