Hi, I have been having issues with flank pain since 20th September and after numerous Urgent care and A&E visits I eventually had an abdominal ultrasound which picked up a heterogenous mass on my left kidney indicative of RCC. My GP sent the urgent referral off but I also have gallstones and she sent me to hospital to discuss options for these. While at the hospital the surgical unit decided to look at my scan and a nurse told me it wasn’t RCC but a dromedary hump. From everything I have read the way the mass is described is completely opposite from a Dromedary hump which is a normal anatomical variant and homogenous.
I am assuming the Urology department don’t agree as I had a contrast CT Monday and have another Ultrasound Sunday which were arranged by a receptionist. I still haven’t seen or spoken to a doctor besides my GP and I am feeling a little lost.
Obviously I hope it is a dromedary hump but I feel so in limbo without having spoken to a doctor and having no idea of what the plan is or when I should hear from anyone or even a contact number. Did anyone else have all the tests with no discussion or idea of what to expect?
