Hi did you have intermittent blood in your urine like a period was it brown and red and after some days did it go away then return a month or two later then repeats ?

I had a tiny amount of blood in my urine then nothing for over a month.
And then I had a more noticeable amount. It was red on both occasions. Initially my GP surgery did blood and urine tests and it was only after the second showing that I was put on to the cancer pathway and started on the scans. They confirmed kidney cancer RCC. It is now 18 months further on and my tumour has shrunk sufficiently that surgery is being considered.
So, if you haven't already done so, contact your surgery.
I was fine all day then 22.00 hrs I started peeing blood and I was peeing so much that I went to A&E. After a most unpleasant night at A&E II had a scan and the outcome was I had a 8cm tumour on my right kidney. I was admitted and 10 days later had surgery to remove my kidney. I am 3 months post surgery and feeling good. I will have my 6 month check soon hopefully no further treatment.
