It’s been 12 months on this therapy to reduce 2x 10mm lung nodules which are now reduced to 3mm and staying put  so far, so far the side effects have been manageable ie sore and bleeding fingers high blood pressure, fatigue but lately I’m struggling, I have Oral thrush which is causing malnutrition and dehydration as I can barely eat or drink let alone talk, I am halfway through a  course of antifungal mouthwash from the hospital but it’s not improving so I’m concerned about the spiralling of other problems due to my weakened immune system

Sorry for moaning but I’m just a bit fed up

  • It's understandable and that's what this  group is for, to support and to bash ideas around.  Sounds awful.   Can they give you something stronger or try something else?

I had a dry mouth and I became a frequent visitor of the head and neck forum to look for ideas.  But they have industrial strength dry mouth and treatments to match, so my request was just dismissed by my onco.

My niggly side effects just improved with time.  Time > 1 year.  Everyone is different with immunotherapy.

  • Thanks Mmum, good to hear
