Hi,
I’m new to the community. I had a PE in July and when they did a follow up CT they found a 32x21x38mm necrotic mass on my right kidney and a 9mm dense lesion on my liver.
i had my first appointment with a urologist 12th September who said I had a small renal cancer that could be ‘shaved off’ robotically but I had to wait and come of the blood thinners from the PE first. He referred me for a MRI with contrast on my liver and a sestamibi scan on my kidneys, I’ve had both of these this week. Do you think he would have said I had cancer if he thought the sestamibi would should the tumour was benign? I’m trying to get a feel for my whether I have RCC or not and have to wait at least another 3 weeks for the sestamibi results and I’d prefer to have a better idea of what I’m dealing with. Any experience and advice would be appreciated. Many thanks.
