Hi I had a nephrectomy 9 weeks ago and have been told the tumour attached to my left kidney was a 9 cm chromophobe renal cell carcinoma. Fortunately it had only spread into fat and they are happy that the margins are clear . I have been told no further treatment but 3 monthly ct scans . Apparently it’s a rarer type of cancer . Is there anyone else out there ? And if so please tell me about your journey . Many thanks Sue
Hi, there have been a few people posting about this. You can use the search function to find them.
On the community page, to the right of the home icon, you will see the search box. If you put "chromophobe" in there and search, you will see all results for mentions of "chromophobe". Then filter by forums.
Here's the results: https://community.macmillan.org.uk/search?q=Chromophobe#serpq=Chromophobe&serp=1&serpcategory=forum
I think on a desktop you can filter down to the kidney cancer group. Hope that helps.
