I’m Kate, I am 44 I have after extremely abnormal blood tests and constant Pylonephritis since Christmas was referred for a scan and they found a 75mm mass on my kidney with a vascular appearance. My gp’s refused to send me for a scan and actually refused their own online Gp’s request as it was deemed not necessary.
I have my urology appointment on Monday and a CT scan on Tuesday. I know my markers for inflammation are raised and I am in some considerable discomfort. And today is the first time I have eaten in 2 weeks and not been sick. I have Systemic Lupus Erythmatosis and Fibro but they are both in remission that I actually told my GP to not even blame these like they did multiple times. What can I expect from the Urology appointment and how quickly do things move and will I be able to keep working?
Hello and welcome to the group.
I can't give specific answers however from people on here im aware there are different time scales for different situations.im hoping someone will be able to help more precisely.i know you can ask a professional on this website.
I have an appointment in another area next week.my paperwork went missing twice .
Being proactive about it helps, phoning up and asking questions to get the ball moving helps and takes anxiety away Whoever it may be, gp, urology etc.
I wish you all the best.
