Nutricia pre op drinks - query

Hi Davina. This wasn’t something I had to take before my surgery in June. I expect somebody will have experience of this. Best wishes with your surgery.

Mine counted as a clear fluid, so I drank it before the deadline for fluids (for me this was 5:30am and a 7am arrival at hospital). I think typically clear fluids are OK up until 2 hours before the surgery, but you could always ring your Pre-Op clinic to double check.

Thank you. I’m sure that’s the same for me. I’ll try and call the clinic again as they’re not getting back to me but guess they’re busy x 

Me neither, sorry, try and giving them a call!  You probably have by now, what did they say? It may count as your clear fluid allowance before you're op.. I was clear fluid until 5.30am before my op back in June . X 

I’ve left 2 messages now and called yday again but no call back. I’ll take it as though it’s clear liquid tomorrow and drink very early! Thank you for your reply x

I have to be at the hospital for 7am. I’ve found the paperwork now and need to take the final 2 drinks before 7am. They’re pretty horrible but getting them drunk… x
