Another silly question from me! . Letter to GP from hospital informing them that a lesion was found on the CT urology scan , it then said I would be sent for an another CT scan for staging. Is this normal or could they have seen the spread on the first scan ?

Did you have contrast medium via cannula in the first CT? If not then this next one may include that so scan images are enhanced.

Don't worry. They do all their tests for a reason. Unfortunately we all have to wait until they tell us what's what.

I had CT with contrast, then chest CT and then MRI all within the space of about 2 weeks. Being thorough, the waiting isn’t easy and you wonder why all this is being done. Making sure diagnosis and way forward will be clear.

They can and do alter the settings on the scanner depending on what the consultant is looking for. That can give more detail on maybe one area or another.
