Dear All,
just to say a quick "Thank You" to Mumm for her frequent postings - my wife Val is on the same journey as Mumm, so her experiences have helped immensely. Val was diagnosed last March (22) but didn't start her treatment until August. Naturally, this was a massive strain, but she was given more or less the same diagnosis as Mumm, and Val has followed the same pathway, Ipi/nivo, now on Ipi only at two week intervals, but starting a single course of Ipi in April. Her oncologist phoned her before Christmas to say "Fantastic News - your treatment is working!". This, after an earlier call to say that is wasn't working, but never mind, this was positive news, though he said that there was no sign of the tumour shrinking. We have though noticed an appreciable change in her body shape. Her belly button was off centre and her abdomen swollen; now her navel has centred and there's a definite reduction in the abdominal area - we live in hope. Val's next CT scan is due on the 4th March, I will share her news once we learn the result.
Our best wishes to everyone for a speedy recovery, Ron and Val.
