Upper urotract cancer

Hello all, after a month of being told I may have TB I have now been diagnosed with above, which unfortunately has advanced into kidney and lymph nodes. I was told yesterday surgery is not an option atm, but will be starting chemo within next four weeks, with the hope the cancer may shrink

Does anyone else have a similar cancer? And how has treatment been.

I'm just replying to say hi and welcome, but I have never heard of that one. But if you search on "UTUC" people have posted about it here. albeit 3+ years ago

What chemo are you going on? People on here are mostly nephrectomites or immunotherapy I think. There's chemo group as well, in case you haven't seen it yet. I bet you are desperate to get started - I certainly was. I've been on immunotherapy now for a year.

Hi, and thank you for your reply, I will be having Gemcitabine and Cisplatin? I will look up the two you mention, my husband is in remission at the moment from high grade bladder cancer and had the BCG maintenance programme after it came back, we just cannot believe we both have cancers in the same area, but mine being higher up in the ureta has unfortunately also gone into the kidney and some lymph nodes. Have had a lung scan and that is clear along with my bladder so desperately hoping they can shrink to allow some sort of surgery.
