Hi All,
I joined the onesie club on 14 July. It's not been an easy recovery. Despite laparoscopic surgery I was left with 3 holes and a big slice to get the treacherous righty out. And it got infected, but is fine now. In the last month, I developed a big lump above it. It's about the size of my hand, aches a bit but isn't causing undue problems. I have an oncologist appt in 2 weeks, can it wait or should I be seeking urgent attention?
Don
A quick update, I phoned the oncology department, talked to triage, sent photos (with a ruler for scale). They think it is a hernia too and I should follow up with GP.. I’ve got a standard telephone appointment next week but to be on the safe side, I should ring 8:30 tomorrow and they’ll book me in for an emergency call. I’ll let you know how it goes.
