Well, where do I start?? First off, thank you for your replies - hats off to Mumm for her usual practical advice.
This morning, following last night's devastating news which left both Val and myself thinking we'd reached the 'Last Chance Saloon', we had a follow-up phone call from her Oncologist to say that following a meeting of her team, it was decided that the Ipi/nivo treatment WAS WORKING! There was a small reduction in that part of her tumour which had metastasized to her lung. What a relief! He has put the Cabo on 'hold' and she will continue with her cycle of nivo infusions on Monday. I was so disappointed when he said that there had been no reaction after going through the procedure for a period of three months, but no complaints. At least it was picked up and every effort has been made to make sure that Val is back on track with Nivo.
We live in hope as before, but with more optimism - of course there will be set-backs and hiccups, but we remain positive.
Best Wishes, Ron.
