Kidney gone!

Hi Freed,  it is all a lot to take in at first, a real shock to the system! It sounds like the surgery went well if you're home now, so congrats on that! My main advice would be don't try and do too much too soon, let your body heal, which is going to take a while! Eat lots as you'll be burning calories while your body recovers and take any help offered to you

Thanks Graham,, it’s nice to have a moan with people who understand. Went for a wee walk last night with husband and dog. Felt fine after it, but feeling rubbish again today. I’ll have to be patient.

Hi Mmum, trying to come off the dihydrocodeine, and taking paracetamol instead. Fine so far x

I am going through a phase of reducing all my prescribed meds to near zero where possible. Its easy to get into bad habits. GPs just dish stuff out. My digestive system seems to be recovering slowly now thanks to a specialist clinic I am under. I just take paracetamol too ! 

PS: I also find the old fashioned bi carbonate does wonders to settle my system and repair the damage from the opioids.
