So I saw my Oncologist today. Unfortunately due to my overall health, I have heart and kidney failure, treatment is limited to a reduced dose of one tablet. The side effects will apparently be vile and could impact others conditions. Even if I take this option my prognosis is 12 - 14 months.
As far as days go I've had better.

Aww that's a toughie and I'm sorry to hear this. What's the tablet? Is it chemo or immunotherapy? They might have given you a looong list of potential side effects, but I hope they also explained that nobody gets them all? Plus at the end of the day everyone reacts differently to treatment. People even respond differently to the same treatment for the same cancer.
So sorry Stu.
Many people live longer than a given prognosis. I don't know how you could go about that.
Logging your journey here, or doing a blog, would be something to focus on if you were up for it.
I hope to read some more of how you go forward with this Stu. Have a think about it on a better day.
Del.
So sorry Stu I tip my chapeau to you and trust me I don't do that lightly and I think you should be so proud and brave of sharing your news with us all.

Take care
Mike
