Morning everyone. Brilliant to wake up in my bed, with the blue sky, sun and sports field. My ward was non-sky friendly. Mobility slowly slowly returning but no marathons

Just update my current treatment. The metal stent is inserted between liver and pancreas, the site of the stricture. They think the stricture is "likely" ( their words) to be related to the cancer. This is The Oncologist's domain. They been in communication with Dr Tsang who is back from holiday on Monday 15/8. We have requested a telephone appointment on 17/8, if feasible, and we will see what happens on that front.

So there we are, certainly NOT the end of treatment and paliative care. In fact the gastrology team at Basildon . were seemingly surprised that surgery appeared not as an option. We will again see.

Linda and l remain upbeat positive and continually adjusting the rose tinted specs.

Love everyone out there. Adrian aka Suffolkflyer

  • Hi Adrian, thanks for the update, it’s lovely to hear that you and Linda are remaining upbeat! That’s the spirit …you are an absolute inspiration x love to you both xxx

  • Fingers crossed for you Adrian.

I hope your news will be something you can go at if you get my meaning.

  • Hi everyone, Deloo, Jules, Mmum, Sandy and others in The Kidney Cancer Forum. I am very overwhelmed by you encouragement and positive vibes. So day 2 fully out of hsp. and recovery in strength appears to be on the up. Walked down garden and back which is good. (Used to walk a daily 5km a few weeks ago tho)

l am now able to eat bland but enjoyable food; berries, wheetabix, soup, fish, omlettes and similar. Sounds boring but really couldn't manage before with the build up of toxins. So to all of you  thanks l am doing what l preach. Small steps lead to bigger ones. Love to you all

Love to everyone. Adrian and Linda

  • Glad to hear that Adrian, It’s beneficial to have a positive outlook…….but sometimes we can all feel tired and emotional and that’s understandable too. You have been on such a roller coaster with it all x Hope the positive vibes are still buzzing for you and Linda xx

  • Hi everyone Great news cancer still stable. Blockage NOT cancer related or related to my cancer could be due to earlier IBS or CROHNS  and a mystery. We move on.
