Hi everyone,
I have been incredibly lucky i think to have worked all my life in the construction industry and to never of had a hernia.
The closer my nephrectomy gets (Thur 21/4) the more i'm finding out that after keyhole surgery the chances of getting a hernia are high.
Can i ask fellow nephrectomites if they have had post op hernias ? It worries me because as I said i've never had to worry about them. Even after a life of heavy lifting. Now it would appear that i have to 'ease up' on the lifting and heavy work as a hernia would be likely.
I may be worried about the op and over focusing (unconcious diversionary tactic) on hernias or course but it is worrying.
Thanks....Del
