Hi has anyone had itching after immunotherapy via drip and anixinib tablets 2 daily x

  • Hi

Sorry to hear that you're suffering from itchy skin after taking avelumab and axitinib.

I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies so searched the group for previous posts which mention these drugs and found these for you to have a look through.

I couldn't find any information about avelumab on the Macmillan site but did find information on axitinib (link) which does mention that it can cause an itchy rash and to speak to your medical team if this happens.

I hope the itching stops soon

  • Hi

i am on cycle 63 of the Avelumab and atixinib combination therapy. The side effects have been mild thank goodness. Had some problems with itchy skin for a while but it passed (used E45 cream). They also gave me Piriton before each of the early treatments (don’t know if this helped).  On the plus side the tumours have reduced and the treatment is working so far.

any questions feel free to ask
