Hi all
my partner is having robotic keyhole surgery to remove a stage 2 tumour tomorrow. Just looking for others experiences of surgery and recovery. Any advice or anything I can do help him when he comes home?

Hi Louisa I had a full nephrectomy 13 months ago via keyhole surgery, I was sore for a couple of weeks & could only get comfortable in bed by lying on my back, but only needed paracetamol for pain relief, I felt tired for a month but try walking small distances to build up stamina. I had twinges for about 10-12 weeks after but they subsided with time. I hope they have caught it in time & good luck with your partner’s recovery
Hi Carney
Thanks for asking, he is a week out of surgery and in a lot of pain but they are positive they removed it all. Just trying to help him rest as much as possible and recover.
Hope you’re well
Louisa
