I've just had my first scan results since starting monthly nivolumab infusions and in my consultants own words she is delighted by the response I've had. All the soft tissue cancers have shrunk so I am continuing the treatment and hopefully I continue to respond. The best Christmas present for me and my family also my friends who have supported me for 10 years since my diagnosis.
Hi I’m similar to you I got diagnosed with kidney cancer in my right kidney last November, I had my kidney removed last December & on my 1st CT scan it showed secondary kidney cancer in my right lung, I’ve been on a combination of Ipilmumab and Nivolumab for the last 12 weeks & it has almost disappeared, I’m now just on Nivolumab & hoping that it carries on the great work that the combination did. I’ve had minor side effects, aches & pains in muscles and joints and itchy skin but other than those it’s going well so far, good luck with your treatment
Barkbuster, I hope your husband has the same response and little side effects
Take care and have a lovely Christmas
