Hi
I'm 28 years old. I've recently had two surgical biopsies done and awaiting my results!
I've been to 3 different doctors, the first two dismissed me saying it was mastitis (I've never been pregnant or breastfed), the third doctor straight away referred me under the 2WW and my new surgeon who completed my biopsies said it definitely isn't an infection.
The symptoms came on very suddenly... tender and hot breast, a rash that spread across both breasts, extreme fatigue and tiredness and some pain, etc.
They said it's likely to be cancer and after doing my own research (I know... I shouldn't google it seems like my signs and symptoms add up for it to be IBC) and I'm just looking for somewhere to write down my thoughts and feelings.
I'm quite scared, but I'm trying to stay positive!
If anyone needs a friend or someone to speak to, my inbox is always open
Hello Lausjwren,
Welcome to the Online Community. I am sorry to see that you are awaiting results for biopsies. Having tests and then waiting for the results is always a worrying time. It is natural to feel scared in these circumstances and as you say it does sometimes help to write down your thoughts and feelings.
It is good that you have seen your doctor and had the biopsies done and that they have been done quickly. It is the only way to know for sure whether it may be cancer. By them saying they feel it is likely to be it gives you a little time to prepare yourself.
I hope that you do not have to wait too long for your results and in the mean time please feel free to post on here as much as it helps. There are lots of lovely people on here who have been where you are now and will understand. If you ever feel you would prefer to talk to someone the phoneline for Macmillan is at the bottom of this.
Please do let us know when your results come back and if there is anything else we can do to support you in the mean time.
Take care
Jane
