Morning.
Such a relief to find a forum especially for my diagnosis. Dr Google has scared me silly with facts and statistics.
my first of 6 sessions of chemo start on Monday. Thats probably the only definite answer I've had so far. A world of ifs and unknown are taking its toll.
Any advice would be much appreciated
Hi, glad you’ve found this Forum and hope you can find the supoort you need. The regular breast cancer group is usually a bit busier than this one, so also worth browsing that from time to time. Here's the link to save you searching Breast Cancer Forum Link
I had chemo last year and I blogged about some of the things I wished I’d know beforehand. This might be useful for you Chemo blog link
The only other thing I might suggest is not to Google, it's way too terrifying and usually inaccurate for your personal situation. I found sticking to MacMillan, the NHS and other big cancer charity sites was much more helpful.
best wishes for the start of your chemo
Hello,
I'm not sure if you have Inflammatory Breast Cancer or not (i think so because it's in this thread). If you haven't already, get in touch with the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network UK who are the only Charity in the UK to specialise in IBC, it's treatment and follow up. They have a specialist IBC Centre of excellence at Birmingham. The International Standard of Care for IBC is different to other types of Breast Cancer hence why it's important to check the Charity's information. Hope this helps, K
