it’s been 20 years in remission, but the effects of radiation have made my life pretty much on the toilet. I don’t want to eat. My blood work is slowly getting worse. I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried the gerson therapy. I’m afraid I’m going to get leukemia when it’s all said and done.
Hi Spiraleyed55 and a warm welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.
I don’t have Hodgkin's Lymphoma but I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Low Grade NHL eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.
The post treatment ‘leftovers’ can for some, be as challenging as the treatments we have.
My post treatment ‘leftovers’ are rather different but at the same time very challenging and yes, the chances of developing other cancers will always be real.
The main cancer I have to look out for is skin cancer due to the excessive amount of skin treatments and radiotherapy I have had over my 23 years (I have a very rare skin NHL)
I don’t know where you stay (my hunch is you may not be in the UK) but I do hope that you are receiving good medical support to help you navigate these challenges.
Always around your chat.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
