Just wanted to say Hi.

my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s in the summer of last year and given 6-18months. He should be on his last cycle of chemo - he had a fall/ infection and then caught covid from the hospital so awaiting his recovery.

Post chemo scan is now overdue and is scary as his B symptoms have returned with vengeance (mainly extreme night sweats).

  • Hi  and a warm welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us and sorry to hear about your dad. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.

I don’t have Hodgkin's Lymphoma but I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Low Grade NHL eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.

A cancer diagnosis like this in the family can be such a challenging and stressful time but I do hope you will find the Community a safe place to get support and to ask your questions.

I never had night sweats but I have talked with many folks over the years who went on to have night sweats following their treatment and it was not a sign of a relapse but more the body trying to sort itself out........ I do hope this is the case with your dad.

Back in late 2013 I was given a few years but the treatments 'did their thing' and I am still here doing well.

Always around to help more or just to chat
