Hi fate22 and welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.
I don’t have HL but was diagnosed in 1999 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Skin NHL (CTCL) Stage 4a so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I know this journey rather well……. but not being pregnant ;)
Your situation is not as rare as you would think, Lymphoma is the 5th most common cancer type so this will happen. We have actually had a few expectant mum’s come through our various blood cancer groups over the years with all either going near enough full term or being induced early because they were going into Stem Cell Transplant and I am pleased to say that all the babies and mum’s were perfectly fine.
So lets see if any of the mum's are still using the site.
Can I also highlight the Lymphoma Action website. Lymphoma Action is a small but very active UK Lymphoma Specific Charity who have lots of good reliable information, videos and run regular Regional Lymphoma Online Support Groups
More importantly, do check out the Lymphoma Action Buddy Service where people can be linked up with someone who has walked the same treatment journey. They may well have someone in their 80+ buddies who has had the same experience.
They also have a helpline on 0808 808 5555 where Sharon or Nic will be on hand to give you some support and may be able to check on if they have someone you can connect up with - open every week day from 10 til 3.
ABVD is a full on treatment but very effective providing great results.
Always around to help more or just to chat ((hugs))
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
