Need help as my daughter has just been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. I want to know what is the length of the treatment? I need to know as my daughter has just asked me and I don’t know. As my daughter Zoe is 26 and is autistic and asking questions I can’t answer at the moment. Just need some help. X
Hi Rimmer I am sorry to hear about your daughters diagnosis, this is such a challenging time for you all.
The length and type of treatment she will get for her HL depends on how her condition is presenting and at what stage it is so -‘accurate information can only come from her clinical team. Do you have a contact meme and number you can call first thing tomorrow?…… I have talked with folks who have had various amounts of treatment cycles including a few having up to 12 cycles.
Do check out the Lymphoma Action website. Lymphoma Action is a small but very active UK Lymphoma Specific Charity who have lots of good reliable information, videos.
They run regular Regional Lymphoma Online Support Groups and you would find the carers Group very helpful as you can talk with other families about the chef treatment.
They also have Lymphoma Buddy Service where people can be linked up with someone who has walked the same treatment journey…… I am not sure if this is a possibility for your daughter but worth following up.
