Hi everyone.
Nice to know that you have this forum that shares things that we have in common.
I was diagnosed with HL on 8 April 2021 and already started my treatment on 27 April 2021. I am on ABVD regime.

Hi Ad and welcome to this corner of the Community but as always sorry to see you finding us.
I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our blood cancer groups. I don’t have HL but have lived and been treated for over 22 years for a rare skin NHL so on the whole I have experienced most things that can be experienced on this journey although my treatments were different (see my profile)
ABVD is a very effective treatment with great results but as with all these poisons you may well have bumps in the road but ai always felt that the bad times were well overwrite by the very many good times
Always around to answer questions as best as I can.
Hi,
late to the game (sadly there’s too much cancer around!) but I see you’ve already had a warm welcome from Mike.
a couple of dodges;
drink lots of water! It helps flush away the dead cancer cells which otherwise can become a pest in their own right.
keep a notebook with any problems you find, often you’ll get asked ‘how were you’ and your mind goes blank!
if the first anti-nausea med doesn’t help then do let your nurse know straight away as they have a number they can try; and if you’re on steroids, take them early in the day as they are good at keeping you awake!
Hugs xxx
