Hi,
Bit of a strange one, I am one month after completing my chemo. During my treatment I had three cycles of AVBD. My hair made such a valiant effort to stick around, it fell out very gradually so it wasn’t really noticeable. However after completing my chemo it has continued to come out and now is very thin. Weirdly I can feel new textured hair growing, underneath my original still hanging in there hair. I’m in two minds to shave it or not as every little helps and I don’t want to cut of new growth.
Any suggestions welcome.
xx
It’s a hard one. I lost my hair completely 3 times over me treatments.
The cancer specific hospital where I had my two Stem Cell Transplants had a wellness centre for both patients and families. There were a couple of hairdressers on hand to give advise, treatments and even my wife had her hair done a few times.
The advice they gave me was to keep shaving my hair for a period of time post treatment until it started to come in even and looking roughly the same thickness then leve it grow.
Hi ,
I lost mist of my hair during treatment but never shaved it . The new growth came through quickly so once it got a few inches I dyed it pink then purple!! But after several months I kept having it immed and now after a year my hair is a good length and starting to feel like me hair again .. so think it’s just patience’s and a good hair dresser .. you will get there I’m sure !!
