Headaches

Hi all

I'm post treatment by 2 years but lately been having horrific headaches that make me feel like my head has been sawn in half . I am under Maxfax and was given a mouthguard for grinding which I have stopped using as the pain from that was horrific too. I haven't been to work going on 3 weeks now. I am popping pills using heat packs to alleviate the pain doing my exercises for head and neck . I can honestly say I have had about 3 days respite from the pain. My mood has gone through the floor with it and as my job is supporting those with personal problems felt I am not able to support them whilst like this hence being signed off.

Has anyone else gone through this and any ideas to help lessen or stop the pain

All ideas welcome

  • Hi. It might just be tension from fibrosis ? Did you have a neck dissection?
in any case if those headaches are pretty blinding there is no harm asking your team for an MRI. It’s what I would do.
