My husband started treatment on Thursday. He is also having red light therapy 3 times a week (I think it is) after radiotherapy. Cisplatin is given over an hour but the appt is 2 hrs as fluids are also given. He has steroids for a couple of days after treatment alongside anti sickness. He had RIG fitted on the Monday before treatment started. So far he's just tired but also says he has a weird feeling in throat, he can't describe the sensation! No real point to this post but I can't believe he's started treatment already. I just hope the time flies.
Hi he’s lucky to be having Photobiomodulation ( the red light slow level laser) there have been some great results in preventing mucositis.

Hi. I too had a weird sensation after a few days I likened it bees buzzing in my throat. It soon got over taken by the real pain of ulcers hopefully having the laster treatment will alleviate the mucosits .it wasn’t around 8 years ago when I had my treatment, but the people who have had it recently report good results.
any questions just ask. I had a calendar and ticked the days off.
