  • Hi Dani

I am now on my 7th week of Amoxicillan 3000mg per day ,the consultant has really not mentioned any other treatment other than Amoxi as being the one that will be best suited to destroy the bacteria but they might look into administering it intravenously via a pic line.Meantime thankfully the swelling has gone down but still not gone i also still have a numb tight feeling on my bottom lip and chin which almost goes into spasm if im talking too long or laughing  I  cannot get false bottom teeth for any where up to a year either which there is nothing i can do anything about.

  • Struth...I misread your post. Osteomyelitis I mistook for ORN. Please ignore what I suggested. Look after your gut and bladder with prolonged antibiotics. I had six weeks metronidazole when `I had an implant and felt pretty sorry for myself till I realised all my useful bacteria were being clobbered
