After a good clinic appointment with ent and no signs of my husband’s cancer in his throat ,and a negative biopsy on an ulcer we thought we were in the clear ,but fast forward 6 weeks ago ,a&e fluid on his left lung, throat cancer has metastasised to both lungs near a heart value and near his transplanted kidney that I donated to him nearly 8 years ago ! Absolutely devastated ,got a phone call with the oncologist next week,to discuss possible immunotherapy, but his general health is awful so not holding much hope there tbh,St David’s are due to see us next week
Thank heavens. Have you asked your GP about hospice at home? They were brilliant with my mother in law. They helped the family look after her at home where she felt safe and comfortable. The nurses were wonderful.
Oh Netti I’m so sorry to hear your sad news. Hopefully you can come up with a plan either with the oncologist if your hubbys well enough to have the immunotherapy. Or a plan with St David’s so sad hugs
