Hi everyone,
After my last review I explained to my consultant that I have a constant sour taste and burning tongue , as well as other dry mouth throat problems. He said there is no wonder drug to help with this ,and I have to live and adapt to it ,has anyone else had this if so does it go or get easier ? I'm 15 months post treatment now .
Hi Spider, i did have some awful tastes in my mouth for a while after treatment which did eventually go, as for my tongue it used to tingle a lot on one side and on the tip, this also got less, and more or less disappeared, although even now after over 8 years after treatment, I still get the tingling very occasionally. These things will get less for you over time. It's the RT the gift that just keeps giving.

Our oral cavity took a beating, I had some strange stuff going on from time to time but it has settled down now. Nearly 3 years since CRT finished and I still can't taste certain things, get the odd day when my mouth feels a bit sore, triggers could be anything...our new normal unfortunately.

I had both. The tingling has gone but the sour taste persists. Some days it’s worse than others. Sweet food aggravates it. Sometimes it gets me down but I have largely learned to ignore it.

Hi Spider3 . If does get less over time or we get used to it. Dry mouth at night is still my main issue but xyimelts alleviate it If im reading and fall asleep without popping one it half of one in I certainly am aware if it a few hours later. Are you drinking enough water? It’s easy to forget to keep drinking.
