Early January I got to seventy five years on this planet. Today I got to seven years clear of treatment and cancer free. Seven years ago I was making bargains with a greater power to let me get to seventy
Today life is good and treatment a distant memory and like childbirth the pain has disappeared and been replaced by something wonderful; life. I am well with hardly anything to speak of to remind me save a slightly dry mouth and a strict dental routine.
I haven’t wasted a day.
To all those of us just starting out, treatment is just a blip, the end being a new beginning. Don’t be frightened of what’s to come. There is so much help on this forum. Just reach out for it. I did and it pushed me through my fear and gave me hope.
I’ll raise a glass to myself and all of you
Beautiful sentiments which I echo. One life just live it. Just think our paths would never have crossed without cancer.
