Had this surgery in November 2025 and got results on 18th December 2025. Got told all cancer removed but recommended radiotherapy to mop up any small bits that may remain.
Had the dreaded mask moulded 5th January and then 30 sessions of radiotherapy start on Monday 19th January. Let's hope it all goes according to plan
Will try to update my experience frequently.
I hope the RT goes well. As I expect you know it is a rather brutal experience for many of us and despite what many clinicians say recovery is frustratingly slow. However, you do find a "new you" at the end of it all and it can be a really good new, and long life, for the sake of a year or so of treatment and recovery. Stay with us.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
