Hi everyone
At my last check up, I had a hearing test ,due to hearing changes ,it worked out that I have heating loss in both ears at top end of scale ,I'm on the waiting list for hearing aids. But I have developed real low level humming on the left side where I had majority of radiotherapy, I had slight tinnitus on that side before treatment, but it has got worse over the last month ,has anyone else developed this and how do you try and mask or take no notice of oil it ,ideas welcome.
I've also had a hearing test and fortunately my hearing is OK for the moment. I do have tinnitus which I developed during treatment (probably from the RT rather than the chemo). It has steadily got worse over the past 20 months. In my case this is a pulsating tinnitus in time with my heart beat rather than the more normal ringing. A CT scan showed no obvious reason for it - which is good news as they thought the RT may have damaged some of the blood vessels in my brain.
In my case although I hear it 24/7 I can mainly zone it out so I am fortunate.
