Well my husband is finally at his last two radiotherapy sessions tomorrow and Friday. It has been a long six weeks and his mouth is like a bombsite but he has weathered the storm with positivity and great humour. I just want to say that all the hurdles regarding feeding tube, medication, changing water in his balloon, flushing, eating, fatigue and pain have been met with great support from his team and positive action of both himself and me. Right at the start of this journey I had no idea how to face what was coming, and it all seemed incredibly daunting, but we’ve made it this far, and so can anyone else. Just take each day and week as they come and before you know it you’ll be through the other side. We have future check ups of course but for now I can’t wait to get my wonderful husband back on the road to recovery and feeling better :)
