Hi so I’ve now got my operation date for sept 22nd. Im
being admitted the night before. I’m going to Coventry hospital which is a centre of excellence for this type of surgery so should be in good hands. Proposed surgery is removal of around 4cms of my tongue with a neck dissection, likely reconstruction from forearm and possible removal of some teeth. I will update you when I feel up to it. Likely to be an all day event not that I’ll be any the wiser.

That's good news that you have your operation date confirmed. Not too far ahead to have time to worry to long but far enough to make sure everything is ready.
It does sound like a big operation but it sounds like you will be with an excellent team of doctors.
