Hi all. I’m so excited. I saw the dentist at the dental  hospital the other day (I’m 18 months post treatment) and she gave me a perfect score for my gums and teeth. I was told to expect deterioration and it’s gone the other way and improved. They also measured my mouth opening and I’m at 4cm. Previously 3.8cm.

I’m still sensitive to cold but they’re not concerned. Still see the dentist twice a year and hygienist 4 times a year.

  • Sounds brilliant

Keep up the good work. My teeth and gums are in better nick than they were before I started and I’m now over six years. Hard work pays off.
Good news on the mouth opening front too !!!

  • Thank you Dani. Yes !  I was a 1-2 and now a 0. And I expect the same for other areas. I’m still tempted to ask my dentist to make a a mouth guard I can use when eating certain cold foods . Not sure it’s possible but he can experiment on me

  • Are you getting a fluoride varnish? if you are and your teeth are still sensitive try an extra brushing with Sensodyne and applying GC MI paste at night

  • They do give me some varnish but I’m not sure what it is. I use Sensodyne. Whet is GC Mi paste ? I need to look into that

  • GC PASTE PLUS

I use it at night. It helps go decalcify your teeth

    I lie.....when I remember!

  • Thank you so much. I’m off to get some

  • Have a search for it. I get it from Dental Direct which was the cheapest last time I got some

  • I use it every night too a half hour after my duraphat and then use a bottom mouth guard so I don't bite my tongue during the night

  • Has anyone had improvement in mouth after the year mark or does it basically not get any better past the year mark.

  • My consultant said you sort of know where your at at a year but I'm hoping that isn't true for everyone.
