Hi guys,

left tonsil p 16 positive squamous cell carcinoma T2 N1 M0.

just thought I’d drop an update, and thank you all again for the support/advice you gave me back in Jan - March prior, during my treatment.

I’m now almost 10 weeks post treatment ( six weeks R/T and five weeks Chemo).  After a bumpy start I’m now feeling better as each week passes.  Saliva, and swallowing still a bit of an issue  but I’m getting there with taste and trying different foods ( albeit smaller portions and plenty of water) I was lucky not having to have a feeding tube fitted.  Due to have my first three month scan early June so I’m really apprehensive.

thanks again

Jay

  • It’s wonderful to see you coming through. It makes this forum so worthwhile. Try not to worry about the scan. Failure is almost non existent,  you know. Hugs.

  • Hu Jay just keep on doing what you're doing. My scan was 18 weeks after treatment had finished. I knew that at the start so didn’t  stress about it try not to you can’t influence the results. Our cancers do respond extremely well to treatment remember that.
