I spent the last few weeks inpatient for chemo and radiation and it was pretty tough. Very sick, constant headaches among other things. Terrible burns on my neck and tube feeding. The hospital sent me home with tons of things and help. Machines for feeding and other equipment and home health services. I had terrible brain numbing because I just refused to take opioids.
That was two weeks ago. Burns are healed, pain is gone and my appetite is back, I can swallow and no longer tube feeding. I just can't taste everything yet. All in all I lost around 15 pounds. I have plenty of energy again and always doing something.
Everyone is different and I thought I could easily handle it by myself. Noooo. I needed help from the hospital after just a few treatments. It was kicking my butt. I am recovering okay.
Good news. Best foot forward.
