For those who remember me my gorgeous, brave and strong Husband sadly lost his battle on 4th February,I am completely heartbroken,my life has changed forever!! I just wanted to say thank you for all your support over the past 2 years and I wish you all the absolute best on your journeys, may you all beat this bastard disease.Much love to you all xxx

  • Thank you for your kind thoughts amidst your grief. So so sad to hear from you. I remember all your posts here right from the beginning of your husband's SNUC. You were given hope which was then dashed only for that hope to re appear from somewhere else. I know there was one last chance of surgery last year, so this must have been impossible to bear. My heart breaks for you. Macmillan do have a bereaved section if you feel you might find some solace there. Please do have a look HERE

Do you have a Maggie's near you? They are absolutely wonderful and worth visiting too

Wish you all the best  xxx

  • Hi Dani,it sure was a roller coaster ride, one that my Husband faced with courage and strength,he made me so proud. He had the surgery, all went well,he was ready to go home after 3 weeks it was his sodium levels that stopped him, then anything they advised could go wrong did.We got him home for Christmas hoping that we could get him to eat,we couldn’t so back we went, sadly the tumour started growing rapidly again,it was relentless, they gave him 3 days,he fought for 3 more weeks and we managed to get him home for his last week,it has left me with so many thoughts in my head and a massive void in my life,I miss him so much it feels like my heart has shattered.I will definitely take a look at the bereavement page so thank you for that,we don’t have a maggies close by,I really need to find some support though before my head explodes.Thank you once again for all your support and I wish you all the very best xxx

You need to look after yourself in the rawest times of this grief. Telling you that it will get better is likely meaningless but tell it I will. You already have the strength in you. Do give the support line a ring too. They can maybe give another direction to travel. Have faith. Hugs

  • It's really kind of you to think of us on here when you're so bereft. What a terrible time you have had and are still going through.

I remember that you and your husband managed to book two holidays last year - I hope those went ahead and you have good memories and photos to treasure. It was surely a comfort to him to be home for Christmas and in his last days, too, though so hard for you to watch.

I hope you have support from friends and family, and maybe some grief counselling as suggested above.

    Wishing you well
