I recently had another biopsy as my pet scan results showed alot of green uptake on my tonsil post treatment and also as I was in such a lot of pain, it was decided not to wait another 3 months to see if it would resolve but to have another biopsy. I have had the biopsy now and thankfully it showed no malignancy.
I should be jumping for joy, but have never felt so ill and I seem to be getting worse and worse with the pain an inflammation on my tonsil and back of my tounge. I was in terrible pain before the biopsy, buy now even worse with no signs of improvement nearly 2 weeks later.
Has anyone else experienced this. I have been given painkillers, which don't really help. I think it is inflammation /necrosis, but nobody has given me a definitive answer yet. I don't think I can take much more of this pain.

I.
Hi Angela. I must say that I had a biopsy after an avid scan and felt pretty sore for a week or so but nothing like you describe
I would get straight back to your hospital. This must be sorted to see if there is a solid reason
