Tonsil cancer T2N0M0 chosen to have neck dissection then Tors robotic surgery.
Had meeting at hospital today for pre op assessment, bloods done and ecg, already for surgery next week. they didn't talk much about neck dissection just my main op.
Had meeting with dietitian and speech therapist. Explained thoroughly what was going to happen etc. My voice could change but not sure yet.Told I'd have fetanol patch for pain relief plus buzzer for me to administer myself. I'll likely be in hospital for a week ( might just get out for my birthday). Going to be on food replacement drinks for few weeks . All felt abit much today with information overload. Have done alot of crying since I got home but guess thats normal.
Can't fault the amazing care Ive had so far.
