Hope this subsides once treatment starts
If the pain is due to the cancer it will get better fairly quickly as the tumour shrinks

Base of tongue cancer. T2N0M0 6 weeks Radiotherapy finished January 2019
Hi Spencerbear,
I also had excruciating ear pain before my treatment, day and night. I was prescribed co-codamol (stronger strength), it was not enough to keep me going through the night unfortunately. I had to sleep upright as well as taking more pain killers throughout the night. I felt so much better when the treatment started, within 1 week the pain started to go away. As Dani said, the pain will ease off when the cancer starts shrinking as the tumour will no longer put pressure on your ear.
Sending you loads of positive vibes.
